The importance of this topic is not to make people feel bad but to inform them of the power of words and actions. Acting about this as it is not happening helps no one. These children need a voice and someone to help them get through the horrible things that they have endured. There are too many people sitting around and doing nothing instead people need to stand up for what they believe. It’s time to make a stand and put America’s words and actions to good use.
SAFE Child is the only child abuse organization located in Wake County who works directly with families. SAFEchild offers parent education and support services to families to help prevent neglect and abuse, and helps with the long-term effects of abuse if it has occurred. SAFEchild, an acronym for Stop Abuse For Every child. Their goal is to build strong families and provide a healthy and nurturing environment.
Prevent Child Abuse America is an organization that was founded in Chicago in 1972. This organization works with all 50 states in America and sometimes works with other foreign countries who don't have the money. This organization hosts events such as races and sport games to raise money.
Since 1978, Safe Horizon has provided victims of domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking, sexual assault and rape, as well as homeless youth and families of homicide victims, with a wide range of support. Their programs also partner with governmental and other community agencies to offer additional assistance, including finding resources for those living outside New York City.
This organization is located in San Diego. To raise money for the organizations they host events such as golf tournaments and wine tastings. This organization focuses mostly on foster children due to their special cases.
CAPA was founded in 1975 as a crisis and information hotline. Now is mainly a counseling agency. They raise money to pay the counselors and any extra money that they come up with goes to the funding of helping the children.
